Shoe Haul // Ardene & Shoedazzle

For some reason my shoe collection has grown quite a bit in the last few weeks (much to my dad's dismay), but I figured I would show you all my newest finds! Since I live in Canada I really can't wear any of these yet because of the snow, but the boots are definitely getting a lot of use!

So I bought 3 pairs of sneakers from Ardene, which is actually one of my favourite stores, they have super cute clothes for pretty good prices. I was actually just going to buy one pair of running shoes, but they had a deal on where you buy 1, get 1 half off and I am always a sucker for that so I somehow ended up with 3 pairs - one pair of running shoes, and two pairs of sneakers. These shoes never really last longer than a year before the soles run down, but they're such a good price that I honestly don't even mind.

The running shoes are super comfy, but are super loud when you walk. It almost sounds as if you're wearing heels instead, because the rubber on the bottom is so hard. I mean not really a big deal, but it's a bit annoying. They were only $12.25 though so I really can't complain.

These dark blue denim looking ones are the ones that I think are the cutest, but I need to get more ankle socks to where with them because all my other socks looks hilariously awful. They were only $7.25 which I think is amazing!

I feel like heather grey is the new "it" colour? It just seems like every store in stocking their shelves with heather grey everything, so I figured I would jump on board and get these shoes. Also they were $11.25 and looked super cute. These ones are probably the comfiest, and they don't sound super loud so they are probably my favourites from Ardene.

So next up, I found this website called ShoeDazzle, which is essentially set up like websites like Fabletics, where you join as a VIP and get discounts and free shipping (only if you're in the continental US), but you have to either buy shoes every month, or go to the website a say "skip a month" between the 1st and 5th of every month or they take money out of your bank account/credit card and you then have store credit. You can also cancel anytime you want! Which sounds terrible, but as someone who buys a lot of shoes, I really don't mind. ShoeDazzle was actually co-founded by Kim Kardashian which I didn't even know until researching for this.

My first purchase was a pair of boots, which were the Tieana boots in bordeaux, which is really just a fancy word for maroon. I live in Canada, right? So boots are super friggin important as we currently have about 2 and a half feet of snow. I can not even tell you how much I love these. They come all the way up to my knees, which I thought would take a bit of getting used to, but it was fine about five minutes after walking in them. They are true to size, comfortable and so beautiful that I want to wear them literally all the time. They are also waterproof which I found out by accidentally walking in a puddle, but my feet stayed dry and I am over the moon about it. The only real issue is the tread doesn't hold its grip as well as I hoped that it would, but it's honestly super hard to find cute boots that also have grip so I don't even mind. They were only $12 plus shipping which was $14.95 (stupid Canada!) because your first boots/shoes are half off.

So with the beginning of the year being so busy (also I was sick as heck), I totally forgot to hit the skip the month button on the website, so I ended up with a store credit of $39.95 and bought the cutest heels I have ever seen. They're called the Elizabeth heel, and I got them in floral. There's 4 or 5 different styles you can get them in, but these were honestly just so adorable I couldn't help myself. FINISH

I'm definitely a huge fan of ShoeDazzle so far, and am super happy with the prices I got from Ardene. I really hope that you see something you like and go check them out! If there's any websites or stores you think I should look at leave a comment below or message me on Instagram @delightfullydeliriousdelaney.

BH Cosmetics // Haul & Review

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a super fun and safe New Year and you're starting off 2017 strong. I started off the year with a massive cold so that was definitely unfortunate, but I am feeling better now with a little help from retail therapy.

Honestly, thank goodness for boxing day sales. I would be so broke without them (but I mean let's be real, I'm still broke with them, I just get more stuff). BH Cosmetics, which is probably my favourite makeup company had a massive boxing day sale this year with 35% off everything site-wide, so I was a very, very happy girl. I'm going to do a little haul and review for you all, but I would like to stress that I did purchase this all myself and all opinions are my own.

Alright, so first up - I got some false eyelashes, my first I've ever bought so that's a sign I'm an adult right? The ones I bought were the baby doll lashes (regular $5, sale $3) and although they weren't my first choice (the "foxy" lashes were sold out!), these lashes are a high quality synthetic hair and while they look super bold, they actually look very natural when they're on. I just need to learn how to actually put them on properly because I suck at it!
Next up, I completed my Illuminate By Ashley Tisdale palette collection, with the night goddess palette. This palette has nine eye shadows, a blush and two bronzing shades which are all a little more dark and bold compared to the beach goddess palette (review here!). I think the beach goddess palette is still my favourite, but this one definitely gives it a run for it's money. Regular $14, sale $12.50.

You know those videos on Facebook of girls doing glitter swatches on their arms? I think I've watched so many that subconsciously my brain decided that I needed glitter in my life, so I bought two. They are from Glitter Collection and I bought gold and black. I have absolutely no idea what I'll do with the black glitter, but they are both so beautiful I'm obsessed. The glitter itself is a but messy (duh, it's loose glitter) but once it's applied with glue it stays on so well and doesn't irritate my eyes at all. Regular - $6, sale -$4.

It wouldn't be my makeup haul without a lipstick, so I bought Missy Lynn Colour Lock long lasting matte lipstick in "Slay", regular - $9, sale - $5. I'm actually a bit obsessed with this lipstick as goes on so smooth and it stays on so well for hours. It's super pigmented and I'm honestly just disappointed that there isn't more colours because Slay is a little bit too dark for my liking.

Last but not least, I bought a makeup setting spray. The one I got was from Studio Pro (regular - $14, sale - $9.50). I don't really have anything to compare it to as this was my very first setting spray, but it does what is promised which is to keep my makeup in place all day.

I am so, so happy with all my products from BH, they've always delivered my packages without error or damage and the shipping isn't very expensive and doesn't take long at all. The products are honestly such good quality especially with the price considered. I definitely recommend looking into BH Cosmetics for your next makeup purchases!

Illuminate By Ashley Haul // Review

I have been so excited to try Ashley Tisdale's new cosmetics line basically since it got announced. It took me awhile to actually get around to buying it though because since I'm in Canada I thought the shipping would be atrocious. I was so wrong though, as the cost was only around $6.50. The shipping took a little bit longer than I would have liked, but that's only because I'm the most impatient person ever. There also was no customs charges which I was very, very happy about!

So first of all I have to say that I'm absolutely in love with the packaging. I know that what matters is inside the packaging but it's just too cute not to mention. In my order I got the Beach Goddess Palette, a lip gloss, an illuminating shimmer, body bronzer, and a cream lip and cheek tint. On first use they all seem like good quality, highly pigmented and very easy to apply.

The Beach Goddess palette has 9 eye shadow shades (5 shimmery, 4 matte) in different brown and neutral colours, as well as one matte bronzer, a shimmery bronzer and a shimmery blush. The colours are all super pigmented and I'm definitely in love with the colour Belize, a dark coppery brown shimmer shade. The packaging does come with a plastic sheet over the colours with their names on it, which I guess could be annoying for some people, but I don't mind it. Overall, for $14.50, it's my new go to palette.

I got the lip gloss in the shade coral reef and was a little iffy at first, but I think it'll probably be my new favourite. The colour is a very pretty light coral which looks shimmery in the package, but the glitter in it is so small that once it's on your lips you barely notice. It dries well and doesn't smear as much as I thought it would considering it was only $8. The applicator is a little bit weird, as it is plastic with a small brush on one side. I'm still deciding if I like it or not. Regardless, the gloss goes on smoothly and I'm happy with the pigmentation

I have a very love hate relationship with the illuminating shimmer right now. It is absolutely beautiful, but it gets on everything. It goes on really well and the pigmentation is good, but there's just so much glitter. It ends up all over my hands and therefore everything I touch for the next few hours. But it's $7.50 so I can't really complain.

The body bronzer is probably my favourite product right now. I originally got it so that when my tan started to fade, I could make it last longer so I wouldn't have to purchase all new makeup (Summer Delaney and Winter Delaney are about 5 shades different), but now I'm using it on my tan lines and my skin looks so so amazing. I've been using a dove bronzer for years and have never gotten my tan lines to match my skin until now. The shade I use is soaked in sun and not that this actually makes a difference to the results, but it smells like grapefruit. The bronzer costs $14 and I will definitely be repurchasing.

So I have never seen anyone actually apply a cream blush, so I'm not 100% if I'm doing it right, but either way I like it. It's not my favourite and the pigmentation isn't great, but it does it's job and for $8, it's pretty good quality. I honestly just might be using it wrong though. Time to watch more makeup tutorials, I guess.

I'm definitely pleased with my purchase overall, and will be repurchasing the bronzing lotion, and I will absolutely be getting the Night Goddess palette in the future. If you're interested in any of the products you can shop them here!
